1st January 2008 came and went, but did you check that your Driver is still legal?

Did you know that both the R&A and USGA have banned hundreds of models of driving club?

If you are found to be using a banned club in ANY competition, whether it is a Rodway Hill internal club competition or an external one, anywhere in the world you will be disqualified.

We've been running a number of threads on our forum for the past few months with links to the R&A website. We have also placed in the clubhouse a red folder containing a list of banned drivers and a larger white folder which contains a list of EVERY legal club - that's 343 pages of them, but they're arranged by manufacturer.

It's your respinsibility to check if you are legal. If, having checked the folders you are in any doubt contact Nigel Lorriman via the forum, by leaving a message at the course shop, a note on the notice board or see me at one of the medal competitions. We'll probably have to take some photos and refer to the official on-line lists. It's better to be safe than sorry.
